During my recent stay in the Valais region, I had the pleasure of visiting a small village that overlooks the majestic Rhone Valley. Chandolin charmed me with its high mountain meadows, sculpted by time and elements. The area's history, like the rehabilitated irrigation canal Bisse de Savièse, serves as a witness to the audacity and ingenuity of our ancestors in directing water to villages.Exploring Sion, the capital of Valais, I discovered its remarkable heritage and immersive city ambiance, perfect for leisurely strolls among its shops and terraces. The commitment to preserving the barn's exterior in Chandolin showed a blend of traditional values with modern upkeep, ensuring a harmonious coexistence of old and new. The safety features in the area reassured me of a secure stay, with carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and more installed for peace of mind. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere made my evenings truly enjoyable, enhancing the experience of discovering this picturesque region.
